Payment of Fees and Refund Policy
All tuition fee is payable in advance before issuing of a visa letter for students applying from overseas.
For students present in the UK, first year tuition fee is due on the start date of the course or at the issuing of acceptance in the course which ever comes first.
Examination Fees:
A deadline will be announced by ISBS for upcoming examinations by the awarding bodies
and a student registered for those exams
must pay the examination fee before the
deadline. Passing the deadline may
result in a student not being eligible to
sit in the exams or might be redeemed as
failed.
Examination fee is payable directly to the
awarding body. ISBS may accept it from a
student and forward to them.
In either case, a refund policy of that
awarding body will apply as this fee is
collected by them.
Important Note:
ISBS has a right to
stop a student sitting in exams even if
he/she has paid the examination fees, but
the minimum attendance required is not
achieved or ISBS tuition fee is due
outside an agreement of
payment.
For more details, please see Terms & Conditions section.
Accommodation Deposits:
To ensure an accommodation at your arrival,
ISBS requires you to pay a deposit in
advance before you move in to the
accommodation. Normally two weeks’ rent in
advance is accepted as a deposit and you
also have to pay a week’s rent at the time
of occupancy of the accommodation. To secure
an accommodation, you must pay the deposit
at least three weeks before you want to move
in.
Overseas students can pay a holding deposit
with the fee deposit towards a confirmed
accommodation.
Unconditional Offer letter will
confirm this deposit showing the amount
paid and the location of the accommodation
with facilities included. Without this
deposit an accommodation is not guaranteed.
Refunds:
Our refund
policy is set out keeping in mind the situations
a student may face. A decision taken by ISBS
admin will be final in this matter.
We advise that you should read our refund
policy with care and clarify any queries
with us before making any payments. A
payment that we receive from you towards
registration or fee deposit etc. is also a
confirmation that you have read our refund
policy and related terms and conditions and
agree to abide by them.
Fee Refunds:
All fees, in
full or in parts, paid to ISBS by students
are non refundable, except in case of a
leave to enter the United Kingdom
as a student is not
granted by the British Authorities overseas
(a student visa is refused).
To obtain a refund in this case a student
must take the following steps:
-
Inform
ISBS admission office as soon as
possible and send a request for refund
in writing within 30 days from the date
of refusal. Failing to do so will result
in making a refund claim null and void.
-
Original
refusal documents issued by the British
High Commission/Consulate/Embassy must
be submitted to ISBS with the copy of
the page of the passport where an
observation for refusal is made.
-
That
student must not make an appeal to any
authority against this decision if the
right to appeal is given.
-
If an
appeal is made then refund will be
made after presiding authority has
given a decision against the appellant
(the student).
-
No refund
will be made should it be established that
the admission with ISBS was obtained by
producing fake or forged documents or by
way of false or misleading information
in any form.
-
No refund
will be made should it be established that
the student was refused a student visa
because he/she produced fake or forged
documents to the visa authorities.
In
any case when a refund is made, there is a non refundable
fee charged of £500. This deduction is made as application/processing
and registration fee.
If all the conditions are met for a refund,
ISBS will issue a refund to the student
within seven working days. This refund will
be made via a bank transfer, a cheque
payable to the student or any other mean
available to ISBS. If a banking charge is
payable, it will be deducted from the refund
amount.
Non Start / Course Discontinuation
In the event when ISBS cannot start a course
for which a student is enrolled with full
fee paid status, ISBS will use its best
endeavours to offer an alternative course.
If that is not available, a full refund will
be issued without any deduction.
For students enrolled on a
programme that has started but ISBS is unable
to continue or complete it, two options are available
for a refund:
i) A refund will be
made to the student after deducting 10% of
the annual course fee for admin charges.
OR
ii) ISBS will transfer
a student's paid fee to a college of ISBS
choice in an identical course,
after admin charges deduction mentioned
above.
Payments via Consultants
Students who have
selected one of our approved student advisor
in their country of origin to complete admission process with us must follow procedure stated
below to be eligible for a refund:
i. They must demand and obtain an original receipt from
our consultant, issued by ISBS, for ANY or
ALL payments they make to our consultant in
the name of ISBS.
ii. A refund claim from any such student
must be made through respective consultant.
iii. In exceptional circumstances a direct
claim of refund by a student can only be
entertained by ISBS if a receipt for payment
is produced by the student and other
conditions stated in general refund policy above are also met.
iv. No
refund claim will be considered without a
valid fee receipt issued by ISBS.
iv. Standard deductions mentioned
above will be applied.
Accommodation Deposit Refund:
Any deposits paid for the accommodation are
also refundable under the same rules and
regulations for the fee deposit
if refund application is made before 14 days
of availability date.
Deposits paid may become
non refundable otherwise. In case
where a student has taken over contract
with the landlord/estate agent directly,
terms for refund of the deposit will be
agreed between those two parties,
independent of ISBS interaction.
At ISBS we try our best to give you the best
possible service. If you are not clear about
any policies or want to know more in detail
about them, please
contact us.
