At ISBS we are committed to keep at ease all the process of your student life with us. This process starts at the very moment you get in touch with us for the first time.

After your queries are satisfied regarding course structure, fees, accommodation or any other related issue, we believe you are ready to apply for admission. Following is a stepwise approach to guide you on how to complete admission process.

Stage 1: Conditional Offer
  • You will need to provide us with a detailed and up to date CV of yours, including all dates.

  • This should be accompanied with a completed ISBS application form. You may download this from Electronic Media Section. Alternatively you can use the link on this website to apply online.

  • We will determine your suitability for a chosen programme and your entry level from this information and make a Conditional Offer to you.

Stage 2: Your Acceptance

  • If you are in agreement with our conditional offer, you will inform us in writing that you have accepted it.

  • You will forward us a copy each of your documents (educational and experience), two clear passport standard photographs and a copy of picture page of your valid passport (for identification).

  • We may conduct an interview with you. If you are an overseas student, we may interview you over the telephone or instruct one of our authorised student advisors to carry it out. This interview will be conducted in English.

  • You will also make a full fees bankers demand draft in advance in favour of International School of Business Studies and send it to us by registered post or express mail. You can also deposit this payment to our authorised consultants. In this case you MUST ask them to provide you an ISBS receipt for your payment.

  • You may ask ISBS admin office for our banking details to make an electronic transfer, should you find that method more suitable.

Stage 3: Unconditional Offer

  • Once when we receive all the documents and the full fees draft, you will be issued an Unconditional Offer to join ISBS as a student.

  • This offer will include all the details of your programme, awarding body, start and finish dates, tutor’s name etc. Also there will be details of fees, accommodation and living charges and deposits paid towards them.

  • This offer will be sent to you by email, fax and post.

Important: Our Conditional and Unconditional Offer letters will have a log in ID and password printed. We recommend that you use the link on our website to check your admission status with us.

Students from Consultants:

We have authorised consultants in many countries to deal with students on our behalf. These consultants are carefully selected and trained to work in line with ISBS policies and working code.

The process of admission stated above could vary, should a prospective student takes admission through our consultant. All initial screening of student and his/her documents’ checking is done by the consultant to save valuable time.

Please contact ISBS admin office for details of how to apply with consultants in your country and to reconfirm if a consultant is working with ISBS.

Important: Please always ask for validation certificates of a consultant, issued by  ISBS confirming their details.

A Useful Approach: ISBS suggests that an overseas student should pay the first year tuition fee in full and in advance. This shows your seriousness and commitment towards your studies. This factor may also help you in your application for student visa. Should your application for student visa is refused, this fee deposit will be refunded within 7 working days. Please see our refund policy for details.

Entry Requirements:
Entry requirements for each individual course are different/flexible and based on a candidate’s proven academic achievements, ability, motivation, and/or work experience including an assessment of the benefit that he or she is likely to derive from the program.

Beside ISBS own admission criteria, awarding bodies which you wish to enroll for, also have their own criteria. As a condition of our affiliation with our awarding bodies, we are obliged to fulfill their criteria as well when registering a student on their programme.

Usual minimum academic qualifications required are as follows:

Certificate or Diploma: 4 GCSE’s or Equivalent*
Undergraduate Degree: 4 GCSE’s and 2 A Levels or Equivalent
Post Graduate Degree: Undergraduate Degree or Equivalent

* Admission in some diplomas and certificates may be granted on the basis of previous work experience only.

Work experience is essential for most postgraduate levels in Business Management and should relate to the degree sought. In other Programmes, work experience may compensate any deficiency in minimum academic requirements.

However, you must remember that above is only a guided criteria and may vary from one to another awarding body.

IELTS Results:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores are not essentially required by ISBS for admitting students, however we recommend that a student should try to clear IELTS exams. This shows their commitment to further education in the UK and also makes them more competitive in the language of instruction at ISBS. It is also noteworthy that some of our affiliate awarding bodies may require IELTS scores as a condition of admission in their programmes.

To encourage students to take on IELTS before applying for admission, ISBS has a policy of offering scholarships to prospective students who can produce IELTS scores at the time of admission. For further details please see Student Facilities Section.

Decision on Admission:
The decision of the ISBS Admissions Board shall be final. No reason for acceptance or rejection shall be given to candidates. ISBS reserves the right to vary its admission criteria, only in exceptional cases. The Academic Registrar is responsible for the interpretation of the admission criteria and may impose other conditions to be satisfied before admission. Please note that ISBS uses its own criteria to determine the equivalence of any foreign academic awards with respect to British qualifications.

Interview:
ISBS may require applicants to attend an interview to determine further suitability of the candidate for the applied course. In the situation where ISBS does not find a candidate suitable for the course applied, it may recommend an alternative course.

For students applying from overseas, ISBS will conduct interview on the telephone or ask one of its consultants in that country to do so.

Student Visa Application:
At ISBS we aim to help any overseas student with their student visa application requirements. All applicants requiring student visa entry to the UK are requested to apply at the British High Commission at their respective countries 3 months before the start of their session. This will help in completing the visa process within time and you could join your classes without missing out at all.

Below is brief outline of what you may need to apply for a student visa for the UK:

  • An Unconditional Offer letter issued by ISBS stating the course applied for and the fee paid; accommodation offer and other relevant documents.
  • In case you are enrolled for a Degree Programme, we strongly recommend that you also register with awarding body before applying for visa.

  • Evidence of financial status that shows the applicant is able to pay both the tuition fees and living expenses for the period of stay in the UK. The evidence required will depend on whether the student is sponsored by the Government, his or her employer or whether he/she is self or parent sponsored. This evidence may be presented in the form of bank statements, sponsorship letters or any documented personal assets.

  • You may be required to attend an interview at the British High Commission/British Embassy in your country. Here you will be required to satisfy the interviewing authorities on their criteria for granting a student visa.

Please note that above visa application information and process is only a guideline and you must contact your local British High Commission/Consulate/Embassy to find out exactly what is required to apply for a student visa.
